34plants needed
15 gal Clusia, 3 ft apart
Ask us for this week's price for this many plants.
Meets the Miami-Dade hedge spacing rule for this size.
How we count
- Plants needed = hedge length ÷ spacing, rounded up. A double row takes twice as many plants.
- Spacing is measured on center, from the middle of one plant to the middle of the next.
- The price uses the volume level for the whole order, so bigger hedges cost less per plant.
The Miami-Dade hedge rule
Chapter 18A of the Miami-Dade landscape code asks for hedge plants 30 inches apart or closer, or up to 48 inches apart when the plants are at least 36 inches tall, and for the hedge to form a solid screen within one year. Check your city's rules and your permit, too.
Typical spacing, per 100 feet of hedge

|---|---|---|
| Clusia 7 gal | 2 ft | 50 |
| Clusia 15 gal | 3 ft | 34 |
| Clusia 25 gal | 4 ft | 25 |
| Podocarpus 3 gal | 2 ft | 50 |
| Podocarpus 7 gal | 2.5 ft | 40 |
| Podocarpus 15 gal | 3 ft | 34 |
